Galatians 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up to the faith which should afterwards be revealed [Apokalupto: removal of a veil].

The veil is the flesh.  When the veil is removed, we can hear God's voice.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by an utterance of God.  Faith is not the make believe of what the ungodly call faith.  Faith has substance and reality.
