In the great move of the Spirit of God that began in 1948, God restored the laying on of hands of the presbytery so that you could know the meaning of your life.  Paul wrote to Timothy about this experience and it has been restored to the church. The propecies that go over you are to guide you and to give you direction.  This is God speaking to you and giving you gifts of the Spirit according to His will.  

1 Timothy 4:14 speaks of this as does 2 Timothy 1:6. 

Your Ministry and Gifts of the Spirit Are Given by the Laying on of Hands of the Presbytery.  When you are born again, you are not born with these gifts of the Spirit.  There may be things in your Christian walk that would indicate your future ministry and the gifts that God would like to impart to you through the laying on of hands and the prophesy of the presbytery.  (A presbytery is a gathering of elders who are called by God for this purpose.)  You may have natural gifts that God will use.  But the Spiritual gifts are different from natural gifts. They are the weapons of our warfare.  
 
1Timothy 4:14-15 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

This is the way that you can know the meaning of your life.  As you give yourself to these promises of the prophecy, God will unfold the meaning of your life to you.  You will see it being revealed.  You will not have to declare yourself to be this or that.  It will be very apparent what you are in Christ, that is, in the Body of Christ.

A word of warning: there are counterfeits, false prophets, who are going about laying hands on people and prophesying.  If these pray and prophesy over you, you will not find the meaning of your life.  You will rather find confusion because you will partake of their rebellious spirits.

According To The Prophecies Which Went Before On Thee, That Thou By Them Mightest War A Good Warfare; The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.  These are weapons of the Spirit.
